KROGUEN!!!

The vikings are back! The fun continues!

In Midgard, each player is a Norse leader, a Järl, who must rally his troops and use them wisely, traveling through the nine mystical worlds around the primordial tree – Yggdrasil. On their travels, Järls will be able to face fantastic challenges or engage in battles against their rivals, accumulating Renown points with each victory. Whoever has the highest Renown in the final season of the Nordic calendar wins the game.

It is a game that values fun, but also strategy, reasoning and interaction between players. There is no elimination, that is, whoever enters the game remains until the end and everyone has a chance of winning until the last moment!

Midgard is a competitive board game that uses cards. Set in the Nordic universe, it's a game for 3 to 6 players, with an average duration of 60 to 90 minutes and a lot of fun! It is not a collectible card game (CCG), but a closed and complete game that can, however, be expanded (or modified) through expansions. It is a relatively simple game, but with a huge range of possibilities. Players can use different strategies to gain Renown and win the game.

Developed by Fernando Scheffer and Cristiano Chaves, two crazy about games and nerd culture, this national game will be published by Conclave publisher, innovating the boardgames market in Brazil.

The art of Midgard was due to the stunning features of Flávio Ribeiro, an illustrator who has worked, among other things, for the Conan card game, and has been responsible for the face of the Vikings since the RPG's creation. The colors are by Rogério Caetano, designer and illustrator who, among other works, was responsible for the graphic design of the book 100 Anos de Luz (the history of Companhia Força e Luz Cataguases Leopoldina).

The great inspiration for its creation was the products of the Vikings: Warriors of the North line (RPG books with great public and critical success). Born as an RPG, it became the book Norse Tales (vol. 1 already out) and inspired a collection of clothing and mugs through The Raven Nerd Studio. The time has come for the Nordic invasion to conquer the world of board games. The game has been in development since October 2012 and is finally ready to be produced and distributed.

Midgard is being launched through a crowdfunding, by Catarse.me. The amount raised through Catarse will be used to produce material including the base game and three expansions, which will be released together with crowdfunding. That is, investors will be able to take home a complete game with their expansions through their support. In addition, a wide variety of promotional materials are being prepared that will be included in the awards as the goals set are achieved.
