We returned yesterday from the first week of Anime Friends / EIRPG 2015 and we came back dead, but happy!
As you know, Conclave Editora is located in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. So, participating in events outside our city, especially when the distance is large, like São Paulo, is something quite complicated. But before being entrepreneurs, we are enthusiasts of the world of games and fantastic literature… So, even in the face of difficulties, we keep going!
And it's worth it! Our stand was fully booked every day of the event. We had queues to play our games and we were really happy to see how people had fun with them! On Sunday the stand was open from 10 am to 9 pm without interruption. And the last thing to keep was the table where a couple was finishing a game of Midgard (of course they took home a copy!). That is, games running for 11 hours straight, non-stop! Fantastic!
But, in addition to meeting new players and introducing the world of gaming to many people, one of the coolest parts of the event is being in person with our fellow gamers. It was a pleasure to be with the people of Ace Studios, Devir, Funbox, Galápagos, Gigante Jogos and New Order again. It was also great to meet in the flesh the retailers who are our usual partners: BG Express, Pitta Boardgame and Redbox Store. And, of course, to see old friends again, whom we often have the opportunity to meet only at these big events.
If you weren't there for the first weekend, we can say that you missed a great opportunity to have fun. But the good thing about Anime Friends is that it happens again the following weekend! So, starting next Friday, there's still more time to make up for lost time. And better, Saturday has a Dominion tournament!!!
