We are approaching the month of June. Half the year has passed and the Conclave doesn't stop bringing you great releases. Now it's time for the amazing Great Western Trail, a game of Alexander Pfister, where your strategy, washed down with a little luck, will be key to success!
In Great Western Trail, or GWT, players are taken to the western United States during the 19th century to experience the hardships of a Rancher's life. Raising cattle was one of the main sources of income in Texas, but as the transportation system was barely developed at that time, ranchers had to drive their herd along dangerous, challenging trails until reaching Kansas City, from where cattle were shipped to the rest of the country.
Indians, floods, landslides and countless other dangers awaited the Ranchers along these trails, which were not few. But with good choices, Ranchers were able to extricate themselves from these dangers and even do great business at the establishments built along the way.
Sell and trade your cattle for more valuable ones. Hire Cowboys, Craftsmen and Engineers to help you maintain the quality of the herd, build establishments and make sure your cattle arrive healthy and valuable to all corners of the country.
Considered the best game to date by Alexander Pfister (author of Mombasa, Oh My Goods, Isle of Skye, Port Royal and Broom Service), GWT, a light heavyweight euro, is a game with numerous well-known mechanics, such as Deck Building, Card Management, Tiles Allocation and more, all converging on a single purpose, to make you the greatest Rancher in Texas!
Stay tuned as the pre-sale starts next week!
